“Since we have been now joined to Christ, we have been given the treasures of redemption by His blood – the total cancellation of our sins – all because of the CASCADING riches of HIS GRACE. This super abundant grace is already powerfully working IN US, releasing within us all forms of wisdom and practical understanding. And through the REVELATION of the Anointed One, he UNVEILED his secret desires to us—the hidden mystery of his long-range plan, which he was delighted to implement from the very beginning of time. And because of God’s unfailing purpose, this detailed plan will REIGN SUPREME through EVERY period of time until the fulfillment of all the ages finally reaches its climax—when God makes ALL THINGS NEW in all of heaven and earth through Jesus Christ. Through our UNION WITH CHRIST we too have been claimed by God as his own inheritance. Before we were even born, he GAVE US OUR DESTINY; that WE would fulfill the plan of God who ALWAYS accomplishes EVERY purpose and PLAN IN HIS HEART” Ephesians 1: 7-11 TPT.
Australia, I sense the Lord saying, you may be in “lockdown” in the natural. But you are not in lockdown in the spiritual! Not in my eyes! Not in my heart! You have full access to me through Jesus my Son. Come Forth!!
Many voices are claiming that this current season of the pandemic and lockdowns are the end of the “old Australia” and that our nation will never be the same again. People of influence (in the media, celebrities, even “prophetic” voices) around the world have been speaking condemnation over our nation, its leaders and its people. An Australian prophetic voice that currently doesn’t live in Australia but instead has moved to America to start an Instagram influencer page (cheeky I know) has posted a “compassionate” rant to his Christian brothers and sisters in Australia and has labeled us “voiceless,” “silent” and “under a tyrannical regime,” but he tagged a hashtag “praying for you” so we should feel encouraged, right? The phrase “meanwhile in Australia” is being used widely on social media to paint a picture of our nation, only highlighting protests and citizens “trapped” in homes. So often as Australian believers we adopt the mindset and political focuses of other nations. Blinded to the division and disunity it causes. We adopt the desire to place “our rights” above the humble posture of honour, love, respect and a fear of the Lord.
Australia, we are unique!! We are loved!! I sense so heavily His love for us! We are our own nation with a beautiful diverse people! We are seen and chosen by God. We don’t need to adopt a victim mentality. Instead of “poor us” the Father is calling us higher!!! Higher in the fruits of His Spirit!
But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions: joy that overflows, peace that subdues, patience that endures, kindness in action, a life full of virtue, faith that prevails, gentleness of heart, and strength of spirit. Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless. Galatians 5:22-23 also Galatians 6:8 & Song of Solomon 4:16 (TPT)
During this “hidden” lockdown season I have felt so strongly the invitation of the Holy Spirit to come and draw near to Him; to be pruned and moulded by His presence and His word. He is revealing who we truly are in this hour and calling us to step into our destiny of “The Great South Land” of the Holy Spirit. He is not releasing doom and gloom. He is releasing LIFE! He is drawing us to Himself and bursting within us a personal revival that will transform us and all He calls us too! Yes, we cannot meet as we used to; many are facing challenges, but perhaps that’s what is meant to happen in this season? Why go back to the old way? He is releasing new wine within us that cannot be contained by an old wineskin!
In John 6 Jesus gives this prophetic declaration:
“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up in the last day. It is written in the prophets, “And they will be taught by God.” Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me. Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God… most assuredly I say to you he who believes in Me has everlasting life! I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate manna in the wilderness and are dead. This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is my flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world!”
I want to suggest that this is so relevant to the ecclesia the Lord is raising up in this hour! A people, a bride with unveiled hearts that come to the table He is preparing, that come with only one desire. To “eat” the offering of his body and blood and then stand up as transformed people with hearts renewed. Desiring only to do and say what the Father says. He is transforming His bride and wants to unveil our hearts to reveal a new way of thinking, a new way of living and a possibly a new way of meeting. Do you believe it’s possible or are we satisfied with how it’s always been?
Despite what is happening in the natural, this ecclesia will overcome fear, lust for control and lust for earthly wisdom and influence and will allow His Spirit to come in and strip away all bitterness and anger toward the circumstances or people that have caused pain. Can we see the “foxes” that we have allowed in our lives that steal and rob us from living in union with Christ Jesus? (Song of Solomon 2:15) Will we have “eyes to see and ears to hear” what the Lord is saying and doing rather than what men and women believe is happening? Will we be brave enough to live “poorly” submitting and surrendering ALL to Him, being fully satisfied with Him and Him alone? (Matthew 5:3) Will we be brave enough to step out into our unique calling? What that looks like yet, I have no idea, but I have glimpses of what it could be. An “Aussie remnant” no longer burdened by the systems we’ve adopted from other cultures and systems but living life and creating life with our love, lives and words.
Bride of Christ in Australia, He is making us new!!! We don’t need to let fear conquer us, He already has! (Psalm 23:4, TPT) You are loved and beautiful! You were made for Him! You were made for a purpose of healing and bringing the simplicity of the Gospel to the world! Come back to Him! Repent of all we have put in the way of our first love! Enjoy His presence! Dive into the river of his abundant grace and let it wash away all anxiety, fear, condemnation, and come up higher! Be made new, be refreshed, be healed!
